Today, in Onitsha, I had the privilege of delivering the keynote address at the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) stakeholders’ engagement forum. This event provided a valuable platform to discuss our strategic vision for supporting Nigerian manufacturing and promoting local industries. During my address, I emphasized that our #GrowNigerian mantra is more than just a catchphrase; it embodies our unwavering commitment to elevating local production standards and ensuring that Made-in-Nigeria products achieve global recognition.
Our goal is to transform Nigerian manufacturing by fostering an environment where local products can compete on an international scale. By focusing on improving production techniques and adhering to high-quality standards, we aim to increase the presence of Nigerian goods on store shelves worldwide. This approach not only supports the growth of our local industries but also strengthens the Nigerian economy by creating job opportunities and driving sustainable development.
Following the keynote address, we formalized our commitment through a significant partnership agreement with the MANSA Digital Initiative of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). The MANSA platform is a comprehensive resource designed to help small businesses gain access to crucial market opportunities, including financial investments and other support services. This initiative is pivotal in bridging the gap between SMEs and the resources they need to thrive in a competitive marketplace.
Under the terms of the agreement, SMEDAN and MANSA Digital Initiative will collaborate closely to extend the benefits of this platform to SMEs within our ecosystem. This partnership will provide small businesses with enhanced access to market insights, investment opportunities, and digital tools that are essential for their growth and success. By leveraging the MANSA platform, we aim to empower SMEs to scale their operations, improve their market positioning, and contribute more significantly to the national economy.
This collaboration represents a strategic step forward in our mission to support and uplift Nigerian businesses.
