On Children’s Day, we had the privilege of spending time with the inspiring children and dedicated team of Let It Shine Academy, a non-profit educational intervention focused on providing quality education to marginalized children. This exceptional organization is making a tangible difference by giving underserved children the tools they need to succeed, fostering an environment where their dreams can take flight.
During our visit, we engaged in meaningful conversations with many of the children, several of whom shared their aspirations to become entrepreneurs. We discussed the pivotal role that education plays in laying the foundation for a successful business career. These young, bright minds were eager to learn, and we emphasized how crucial small businesses are to the economy. Entrepreneurship not only fosters innovation but also drives local development and creates opportunities that can uplift entire communities. The children were excited to hear about the various youth initiatives we are championing at SMEDAN, designed to empower young people across Nigeria to start their businesses and become self-reliant.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, celebration, and hope for the future. The children enthusiastically participated in quizzes designed to test their knowledge and spark their curiosity, with many winning prizes that brought even more smiles to their faces. The energy of the day reached its peak as the children showcased their dancing skills, proving that they are not only sharp thinkers but also creative, expressive individuals with a passion for life.
